The crawler config file is plain text on the file system.
In this file it contains credentials to access WDS. There are also config files for the crawled source system.
The passwords for the connectors are encrypted, but the discovery_service password is not. My customer wants all passwords in plain-text files to be encrypted.
Why is it useful?
|Who would benefit from this IDEA?||As an enterprise security architect, I need assurance that passwords to access components of the system are not stored as plain text on the filesystem|
How should it work?
